Re/code was the source that claimed that Apple’s iPhone 6 event would happen on September 9, and yes, they got it right. Today
the source is claiming that Apple is already discussing the possible
price tag of the iWatch, and it seems this will be around $400. The
report also mentions that consumers should expect various models of the
iWatch to launch, and that there will be some models at a lower price
point. The only sad part of this report is when we hear that the device
will start shipping until 2015, something which could affect Apple’s
possibility of making a positive dent in a market that has yet to take
off.
Just like with the launch of the original iPad in 2010, there’s been a lot of speculation of the iWatch being priced for thousands of dollars.
With Android Wear products being priced between $200 and $250 that
wouldn’t be realistic, though it could be that Apple will surprise us
one more time with a price tag that’s more consumer oriented.
